1. Display Brightness:-
First I tell you that the main uses of the battery are your display. Your display consumes more battery comparing then any other application you installed in your phone. And if you are using auto brightness this consumes your battery more. Auto brightness is a convenience but it affects our phone's battery it gives more than we need and it is bad for our phone's battery. Use manual brightness for more battery life.
2. Disable Radios:-
If you are not using Bluetooth, wifi, NFC etc. Close it, don't leave open when you are not using these radios.
3. Background Apps:-
Close those apps which you are not using yet and maybe you will use that app in upcoming days. But don't kill those apps that you are using frequently in minutes or hours it will affect your phone speed.
4. Live Wallpaper And Widgets:-
In our mobile, we have many things to customize our display like using live wallpaper where in your screen wallpaper fish is flowing or water effect and you touch your phone display it sounds "duppp" etc. And you designed your phone with widgets that are not useful. This consumes your battery life. As well as you just make your display simple and delete those widgets which are not useful for you.
Use black screen wallpaper if you can.
5. Notifications:-
Notifications are two types important and non-important. Important like what's app messages or other notification which is useful for you. Non-important like other apps notification which you accidentally allowed. A notification comes in your phone display light is on and it sounds and these processes are done by the processor so it consumes your phone battery.
6. Battery Stats Check:-
See your phone battery stats that which app is consuming more battery or not and if any app consumes battery and you are not using that app just delete or uninstall.
7. System And App Updates:-
Make sure that you are using the latest version of OS and applications. Because updates are fixes some bugs and grow the efficiency of Phone OS and applications.
Keep your phone OS and applications updated.
8. Accounts Sync:-
If you have a google account so it syncs your Gmail, calendar, googles music, games etc.
So, go to the sync and disable syncing of unuseful things like calendar, google music, games etc.
9. Apps With Ads:-
If you are using free apps and it shows ads like when you open that particular app it shows 15 seconds add and it is unuseful for you. So, purchase apps that will be used by you for a long time as well as you can. Because it uses more power of your phone's processor and it consumes battery.

If your phone has power saving mode use it and customize it as you required.
